What these labels mean

MOU active: An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon: The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired: The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated: The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing: The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing: Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
Sparse listing: Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.

Interns may work in one of two tracks. The first involves ground support equipment maintenance and repair, where participants service aircraft jacks, hydraulic power units, ground power units, towing equipment, and related GSE; perform proof load testing; troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems; and calibrate pressure, temperature, and flow gauges. The second track focuses on calibration laboratory work, where interns perform calibrations in lab and on-site settings, apply measurement techniques across multiple disciplines, maintain calibration standards, and develop skills toward a technician advancement path. Both tracks include on-the-job training. Travel to customer facilities is a requirement in both roles. Backgrounds in PMEL, TMDE, metrology, or avionics are noted as relevant experience for the calibration track.

What the work involves

Responsibilities Service varying types of GSE which include but not limited to: aircraft jacks, hydraulic power units, ground power units, towing equipment and vehicles, engine slings and hoists, etc.Perform proof load testing on aircraft jacks and other lifting equipment Repair and rebuild hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems Troubleshoot issues or problems with equipment and determine repairs needed Verify proper operation of equipment in accordance with OEM manuals and testing procedures Calibrate varying gauges such as pressure gauges, temperature gauges, and flow meters Document all work performed and complete service reports Communicate with customers and answer questions on services performed Maintain a clean and safe shop Traveling to local and non-local customer facilities is required. What the work involves
