What these labels mean

MOU active: An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon: The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired: The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated: The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing: The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing: Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
Sparse listing: Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.

About Officers Christian Fellowship

Officers' Christian Fellowship (OCF) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Its stated mission is to engage military leaders in Biblical fellowship and growth to equip them for Christlike service at the intersection of faith, family, and profession. The organization operates ministry programs that include two retreat and conference center properties — Spring Canyon in Colorado and White Sulphur Springs — as well as field staff positions supporting cadets and midshipmen at military academy installations.

The SkillBridge program spans 15 locations across 8 states — Alabama, Colorado, Connecticut, Kansas, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, and a virtual track — with remote delivery also available. A field staff assistant role supports academy ministry work both on and off installation. All positions are unpaid.

Serve as a member of the Crosspoint podcast team, conducting original interviews that explore what it means to follow Christ in uniform—through command, career transitions, family pressure, and everything military life asks of you. Source, schedule, and conduct six to eight recorded interviews over the course of the internship, using personal networks and experience to identify guests relevant to the Christian military officer community. Work within OCF's editorial framework to develop interview content; deliver clean recordings with supporting pre-interview notes to enable efficient post-production. Contribute to the broader guest and topic pipeline beyond own episodes—submitting guest and topic ideas monthly to the Director of Communications. What the work involves

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Facilitates the conversion of existing OCF products residing in audio or video format into text. Works closely with the DOI and Comms Team to help prioritize the selection and prioritization of work. Advises the Content Targeting Team regarding transcription issues with select AV files.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: The OCF AV Transcriptionist requires fine-tuned skills such as editing, researching, and listening to material to ensure it is interpreted correctly. As transcription is the conversion of audio/video into text, the first of the important skills that transcribers need to have is an enhanced ability to listen. Active listening is important in order to transcribe a conversation accurately and efficiently. To some degree multitasking is required as they must be able to listen, understand and type simultaneously. Fast and accurate typing skills are required in order to transcribe files quickly. The average typing speed for transcriptionists can vary, but these professionals can usually type between 60 to 80 words per minute. Efficient typing skills can also help transcriptionists make fewer errors, which helps save time when editing their work. Strong editing skills to ensure their transcripts are accurate. Exceptional knowledge of orthography, including grammar and punctuation, will help to document recordings accurately. Knowledge of the Bible will help to ensure scriptural references are captured and/or corrected accurately.A good working knowledge of computers and software programs they need to use to perform the function of transcription. WORKING CONDITIONS: This is a volunteer position. The position may be accomplished from a remote work location. Specialized equipment and software to support the transcription effort can be provided. Very limited travel is anticipated to support responsibilities discussed above. May require sitting for long periods of times. Requires reaching continually throughout the workday (i.e. Mouse, keyboard). Requires regular use of phone and email.
