What these labels mean

MOU active: An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon: The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired: The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated: The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing: The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing: Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
Sparse listing: Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.

Summary

Maytag Aircraft LLC is a U.S. Government services contractor, providing valuable and essential operations and maintenance services ranging from aircraft refueling and air terminal and ground handling to base operating support at multiple international and domestic locations. Drivers will be required to perform fuel servicing operations (refuel/defuel) by mobile fuel servicing equipment/trucks, truck operated mobile pantograph, hose sets or carts, and fixed direct fuel servicing systems (hydrants).

What the work involves

A Driver System Operator must perform Deadman operations and may be trained to perform other duties, such as hot refueling fire watch, nozzle operator, or refueling director tasks, within a pit operation. Drivers must be trained in the appropriate use of radio procedures. Must pass a contractor administered base and flightline familiarization test, practical equipment/facility competency tests, and must be certified, by the contractor, as qualified, and the individual’s training record updated prior to the unsupervised operation of any fuel, and defueling servicing equipment. The contractor must recertify personnel annually or as required. Drivers must be familiar with safety regulations applicable to aviation and ground fuel servicing operations on and around the airfield and supported activities. Unless specifically directed by the contracting officer, the contractor is not responsible for the staffing of the fire watch, nozzle operator, or refueling director positions. The squadron or organizational unit receiving fuel services must remain responsible for providing required staffing, other than Deadman operator.

Summary

The Operations Manager will be dedicated to the management of all aspects of contractor-provided fuels support services and ensures operations IAW contract requirements between contractor-staffed positions and their respective contracts CONUS and OCONUS. The Operations Manager must be able to provide direct support to contracts and provide mentorship to all Contract Terminal Managers.

Follows the current UFC 3-460-03, general inspection and maintenance criteria for military land-based liquid petroleum fuels facilities that are applicable to all branches of the Department of Defense and the Defense Logistics Agency-Energy Division.

What the work involves

The Terminal Manager ensures on-site management of Performance Work Statement (PWS) requirements. The TM shall have significant, specialized commercial or military experience in fuel terminal operations and maintenance performing and supervising tasks equivalent to an AF Fuels Management seven skill level (2F071) or nine-skill level (2F091) personnel. This experience shall include receiving, storing, issuing, and shipping petroleum products via tank truck, pipeline, rail, or tanker/barge as appropriate to the installation’s mode of receipt capability and maintenance and repair of bulk petroleum storage terminals, systems, and equipment. The TM shall have significant, relevant, and preferably recent supervisory experience. Although general supervisory experience may be included, specialized supervisory experience in fuel terminal operations with emphasis in terminal maintenance, operations and environmental compliance must be predominant. Minimum Job Requirements The management, operation, and maintenance of: · Bulk aviation and ground fuel storage and distribution systems/facilities · Mobile (aviation and ground) fuel servicing equipment · Truck based and/or fixed direct ”hot” fuel servicing equipment and facilities · Service station facilities (manual/automated) · The management, handling, and disposition of used oil and/or recyclable jet fuel products · The quality surveillance of aviation and ground fuel products and support applicable to the contracted activity · Aviation and ground fuel inventory and administrative principles and practices · Fuel system maintenance and the administration and oversight of automated Preventive Maintenance systems and programs · Practical experience in the basic design and layout of petroleum facilities, component makeup and flow characteristics of fuel storage and distribution systems, and the ability to read and understand basic drawings, blueprints, and system specifications. · Must be familiar with Fuels Manager computer program. · Shall have the education, training, background/experience, and skills required and necessary to make fiscal and management decisions, direct personnel, and work with individuals at all levels of corporate management and the military responsible for the contract.
