What these labels mean

MOU active: An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon: The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired: The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated: The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing: The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing: Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
Sparse listing: Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.

Summary

M1 is looking for a Quality Manager for Air Force Program with the following knowledge and experience: • Manages/implements the QMS for USAF Helicopter Maintenance contract at Ft. Rucker IAW IAW the PWS, applicable AFIs, and company policy. • Develops and sustains a culture of safety, quality compliance, and professionalism. • Ensures 100% safe, on time, properly configured, reliable aircraft to perform missions in accordance with the PWS. • Ensures compliance with directives, technical orders, local procedures, safety procedures, and company policies relating to aircraft maintenance operations and quality IAW AFI21-101 and the PWS.

What the work involves

In addition, the candidate should possess the following requirements: • Minimum 12 years USAF aircraft maintenance experience. 3 years USAF aviation quality. Helicopter experience preferred. • Strong communication skills with ability to manage conflict and apply conflict resolution. • ISO 9001/AS9100/9110 Auditor certification preferred; knowledge of quality management system requirements, safety standards and general experience in dealing with environmental issues related to USAF Maintenance and Operations. • Bachelor Degree in related field. However, extensive work experience may substitute. • Able to obtain/maintain security clearance as required by PWS. • Comprehensive understanding of aircraft maintenance and quality control procedures in a USAF aviation environment.

What the work involves

Position Description: • Manages/coordinates launch/recovery, scheduled/unscheduled aircraft maintenance and production activities at assignedairfield. • Ensures 100% safe, on time, properly configured, reliable aircraft to perform missions in accordance with the PWS. • Provides technical guidance to maintenance personnel performing aircraft maintenance. • Ensures compliance with directives, technical manuals, work standards, safety procedures, and company policies relatingto aircraft maintenance operations. • Ensures sufficient manpower, technical data, tools and equipment are available for planned work and shift coverage. • Monitors attendance, approves timecards, assigns overtime. • Applies Company policy and procedures pertaining to the promotion, training, discipline, and termination of employees. • Ensures employees possess the qualifications and certifications necessary to perform their jobs/task assignment. • Other duties as assigned In addition, the candidate should possess the following requirements: • Five years of supervisory experience, 5 years of AH-64 aircraft maintenance experience, and/or 8 years ofexperience in aircraft maintenance, preferably in a military environment. • Comprehensive understanding of aircraft maintenance and quality control procedures in an Army aviation environment. • Must possess competent computer skills. • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. • Must be able to move about both inside aircraft hangars, and outside on aircraft ramps within close proximity ofrunning equipment and aircraft. • Able to obtain/maintain security clearance as required by PWS • Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining a professionaland non-confrontational attitude. Education: High School Diploma mandatory Bachelor Degree in related field preferred
