What these labels mean

MOU active: An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon: The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired: The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated: The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing: The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing: Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
Sparse listing: Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.

Summary

The personal supports masons and site leadership in delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality masonry construction. This role is the foundation of our field workforce. Successful personal grow into masons, foremen, and beyond.

What the work involves

Orientation and Defined Tasks and Schedule of Events (40-hour work week/1 hour lunch). Masonry Professional - Construction Fundamentals is a foundation that introduces essential construction industry knowledge and skills while preparing personnel for multiple construction knowledge. Skillbridge personnel will develop competencies in workplace safety, construction math, hand and power tools, construction drawings, and basic rigging. DRP training emphasizes comprehensive safety training aligned with OSHA 30 Construction certification requirements. Skillbridge personnel also build crucial workplace readiness skills through modules on communication, and material handling. Learning to safely operate power tools, handling equipment, general HVAC safety procedures. Explain business rules, define expectations, and company culture. Tour through multiple job sites, explaining DRP Masonry processes. Defined Tasks and Schedule of events for Masonry Education: This training will introduce Skillbridge personnel to the fundamental principles and techniques of masonry construction. Students develop essential skills in mixing and applying mortar, laying masonry units, and following proper safety protocols. Through hands-on practice, Skillbridge personnel learn to identify and properly use masonry tools and equipment, interpret construction drawings and specifications, and understand basic mathematical concepts used in masonry work. The training covers multiple types of masonry construction including brick, block, and stonework, while emphasizing the importance of proper measurements and quality control. Masonry Interaction – This advanced training focuses on complex residential and commercial masonry applications. Skillbridge personnel master sophisticated techniques in constructing reinforced masonry, building corners, and installing specialized masonry features such as arches and detailed brickwork patterns. The training emphasizes critical quality control procedures, advanced blueprint reading, and proper installation of masonry openings and metalwork. Skillbridge personnel learn to properly install insulation, moisture control systems, and various types of masonry reinforcement while adhering to building codes and industry standards. Through hands-on projects, Skillbridge personnel develop expertise in constructing different wall systems including cavities, composite, and veneer walls. Summary weeks and career discussion – Building on the foundational experiences of Career Connected Learning I, this advanced work-based learning course provides students with deeper on-the job practice, leadership opportunities, and refined career exploration. Students continue to enhance their technical and professional skills, expanding their industry networks and aligning personal goals with evolving career interests. Variable credit (1–3) remains aligned with the required training hours and related instruction. Through elevated responsibilities and skill application, Career Connected Learning II prepares students to confidently transition into higher-level post-secondary programs, apprenticeships, or the workforce. Evaluate performance of Skillbridge personnel and likely offer full time position provided Skillbridge personnel meets requirements.
