Eligibility
Preferred qualifications include: • Transitioning service member approved by command to participate in SkillBridge. • Interest in IT project management, cybersecurity, AgTech, agriculture technology, IoT, data systems, or emerging technology. • Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills. • Ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Basic familiarity with Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and project tracking tools. • PMP, CAPM, Security+, Network+, Project+, Scrum, ITIL, or related certifications are helpful but not required. • Must be professional, dependable, and able to support a mission-focused pilot project.
What the work involves
The IT Project Management SkillBridge participant will assist ACAS leadership and project stakeholders with planning, coordinating, documenting, and tracking activities for the Riley Creek Farms AgTech project. Duties may include: • Supporting project planning, milestones, schedules, task tracking, and meeting coordination. • Assisting with requirements gathering for smart agriculture technologies, sensors, hydroponic systems, RFID/traceability tools, dashboards, and data platforms. • Coordinating with internal teams, Tuskegee University stakeholders, farm personnel, vendors, and community partners. • Preparing project documentation, status reports, risk logs, action item trackers, meeting minutes, and implementation plans. • Supporting technology rollout planning for IoT sensors, environmental monitoring, data collection, and farm operations workflows. • Assisting with cybersecurity and data protection considerations for connected agriculture systems. • Helping develop repeatable processes and templates for future AgTech pilot expansion. • Supporting workforce development, training, and community engagement activities related to the project. The participant will gain experience in IT project management, technical coordination, AgTech systems, stakeholder communication, project documentation, risk management, and emerging technology implementation.

Advantage Consulting and Solutions (ACAS) is seeking a highly organized and motivated transitioning Service Member to serve as a Program Coordinator supporting the Alabama Cybersecurity Fellowship Program (ACFP), an innovative workforce development initiative that prepares college students for careers in cybersecurity and information technology through classroom instruction, hands-on technical training, and employer-sponsored internships. The Program Coordinator will assist in the daily administration, coordination, and execution of the Fellowship Program while serving as the central point of contact between ACAS leadership, instructors, participating colleges and universities, employer partners, students, funding organizations, and community stakeholders. This position provides hands-on experience managing a statewide workforce development program while developing skills in program management, operations, communications, recruiting, budgeting, stakeholder engagement, and leadership.

The Program Coordinator supports all operational aspects of the Alabama Cybersecurity Fellowship Program and assists leadership in ensuring successful delivery of each student cohort. Primary responsibilities include: Program Administration • Coordinate daily operations of the Fellowship Program. • Maintain the annual program calendar and milestone schedule. • Track program deliverables, deadlines, and reporting requirements. • Maintain student, employer, instructor, and partner records. • Prepare program reports, dashboards, and executive briefings. • Assist with grant compliance and required documentation.
