What these labels mean

MOU active: An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon: The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired: The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated: The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing: The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing: Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
Sparse listing: Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.

Western Aircraft, one of the largest aviation services company in the West, invites you to explore the exciting internship opportunities available to you as you prepare to transition from military to civilian life. As we continue to grow, we are always on the lookout for qualified individuals with a track record of going above and beyond for their customers. During the Western Aircraft Maintenance Internship, interns will work side by side with Experienced Maintenance Technicians in an FAA certified Class 4 Repair Station to develop skills to assist with inspection, testing, repair, maintenance, and service of aircraft using test equipment and hand tools to return aircraft to service per FAA and manufacturers specifications. Interns will receive daily hands-on maintenance experience to prepare for a career in corporate aviation working on aircraft from industry leading manufacturers such as Gulfstream, Dassualt Falcon, King Air, Piper and Pilatus.

What the work involves

Western Aircraft has multiple SkillBridge opportunities available including: Aircraft Maintenance Technicians, Avionics Technicians and Structures Technicians. While participating in the Western Aircraft Maintenance Internship program, the intern will be assigned to a primary work schedule, Monday – Friday, 7am to 4pm. Note: The schedule may vary as required, not to exceed 40 hours per week. Internship training and work is performed onsite at the Western Aircraft facility. Interns that have successfully completed the Skillbridge program will be considered for a possible full-time position within the company as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician, if warranted based on performance.
