What these labels mean

MOU active: An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon: The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired: The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated: The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing: The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing: Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
Sparse listing: Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.

Summary

Vista Trans Holding is seeking motivated transitioning military personnel interested in starting a professional trucking career. Our CDL Class A training program provides hands-on over-the-road training with experienced trainers, preparing participants for a full-time OTR driver position upon successful completion. No previous trucking experience is required, only valid CDL class A.

Eligibility

• Valid Class A CDL required • Eligible to participate in the DoD SkillBridge Program • Ability to pass DOT drug screening and pre-employment requirements • Acceptable driving record • No DUI, SAP, or serious FMCSA disqualifying violations • Willing to travel over-the-road for training and employment

What the work involves

CDL Class A Trainee Program Vista Trans Holding offers an opportunity for transitioning military members to begin a rewarding career in the transportation industry. During this program participants will: • Receive over-the-road training with experienced driver trainers • Learn safe operation of commercial vehicles • Gain real-world experience in long-haul freight transportation • Understand FMCSA regulations and Hours of Service compliance • Develop trip planning, load securement, inspection, and safety skills • Receive mentoring throughout the training process After successful completion of training, participants may qualify for a full-time CDL Class A OTR Driver position with Vista Trans Holding.
