MOU active: An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon: The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired: The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated: The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing: The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing: Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.

About Veterans Florida

Veterans Florida is a state-created nonprofit launched in 2014 and funded by the State of Florida. Its stated purpose is to help separating and retiring servicemembers, veterans, members of the Florida National Guard and reserves, and military and veteran spouses convert military experience into careers and businesses in Florida. Every program and service the organization provides is offered at no cost to applicants.

The organization runs three programs: SkillBridge, Career, and Entrepreneur. The Entrepreneur Program has trained thousands of veteran and spouse founders since 2016 through a network of a dozen Florida partner organizations. The Career program focuses on connecting veterans with Florida employers across industries including aviation and aerospace, defense and homeland security, life sciences, information technology, manufacturing, logistics and distribution, agriculture, and law enforcement. Veterans Florida describes itself as the first state-level organization dedicated to combining SkillBridge placements, career transition support, and entrepreneur training under one roof.

As a SkillBridge program manager, Veterans Florida coordinates internship placements across a range of Florida employers and agencies. Six-Month training schedule for ECWR Wildlife Rehabilitation Interns. The intern will learn day to day operations of wildlife care and management through experiential learning at a non-profit wildlife rescue facility. Summary

The goal of this internship is to provide the DoD SkillBridge Intern with the training necessary to successfully graduate into a Senior-Level Airplane Mechanic role. By leveraging the intern's experience and SkyWarrior Aircraft Maintenance training, a career with SkyWarrior Aircraft maintenance could begin as soon as the intern departs active duty. Orientation/Integration/Company Familiarization - Weeks 1 – 2 Introduction to Manufacturing - Weeks 3 - 6 Introduction to Sheet Metal Assembly Operations & Requirements - Weeks 7 - 9 Final Assembly Line Operations - Weeks 10 - 12 Final Assembly Line Operations - Weeks 13 - 14 Flight Line Familiarization & Operations - Weeks 15 - 16 Retraining and Evaluation Period - Weeks 17 - 26 By the end of this period the intern should be able to perform the duties and assignments of all areas of operations covered above within SkyWarrior Aircraft Maintenance. During the last week of this period the interns performance will be honestly evaluated and a possible job offer could be made depending on performance and the company’s needs. The Intern should expect to understand exactly where their future role with the company would be and how to complete the duties and assignments of that role in a satisfactory manner. If applicable Salary and benefits will be discussed and planned out carefully at this point.

The Veterans Florida Agriculture Program is a six-month training fellowship that provides veterans and servicemembers a comprehensive, hands-on experience and equips you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to be competitive for leading careers in Florida's $149 Billion agriculture industry. The training takes place at the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (UF/IFAS) Research and Education Center facilities located across Florida. The Institute is a research pioneer and its innovations in food safety, crop production, and disease-resistant plants have played a vital role in advancing the industry. Veterans Florida will work with participants to further their career at an agribusiness or working farm or ranch after completing the training. Open to veterans and transitioning servicemembers.
