Program Overview This three-month SkillBridge experience serves as a core project team member supporting the launch of two new learning initiatives to the campus community. Under close guidance from the team lead, the participant will play a pivotal role in the setup, structure, and early implementation of enterprise learning systems, contributing to foundational configuration, content organization, documentation, and project coordination. The experience is intentionally structured to provide hands-on exposure to system implementation and project delivery while maintaining a strong emphasis on training, mentorship, and skill development.

What the work involves

Month 1: Platform Foundations & Project Awareness Primary Focus: Rapid immersion in LinkedIn Learning and introduction to project structure The participant will learn to: Understand the role of Learning & Leadership Development within HRNavigate LinkedIn Learning from an administrative perspective Understand how learning content is curated, reviewed, and governed Gain awareness of how learning initiatives are planned, tracked, and communicate Learn basic project management concepts (timelines, milestones, roles, dependencies)The participant will assist with: Creating and updating LinkedIn Learning collections and campaigns Drafting titles, descriptions, and supporting copy Coordinating content review with subject matter experts under supervision Beginning documentation of LinkedIn Learning standards and workflows Supporting project tracking activities, such as maintaining task lists, timelines, or status trackers Preparing draft updates or notes for internal project check-ins or meetings Month 2: Advanced Content Work, LMS Exposure & Project Coordination Primary Focus: Content refinement, LMS exposure, and active project support The participant will learn to: Apply LinkedIn Learning content standards consistently and independently Understand the structure and purpose of the Cornerstone LMSLearn the distinction between Cornerstone’s learning and performance modules Recognize how documentation, testing, and coordination support project delivery Observe how scope, timelines, and priorities are adjusted during active initiatives The participant will assist with: Ongoing LinkedIn Learning content curation, refinement, and cleanup Updating LinkedIn Learning documentation and standards Observing Cornerstone configuration, testing, and readiness activities Beginning documentation of Cornerstone learning module processes Supporting project coordination, including tracking action items, risks, and dependencies Assisting with meeting preparation, notes, and follow-up actions Supporting communication drafts related to project milestones or readiness updates Month 3: Documentation, Testing, Knowledge Transfer & Transition Primary Focus: System readiness, documentation, and project wrap-up support The participant will learn to: Understand how access, permissions, and testing contribute to platform readiness Observe collaboration between functional, technical, and vendor partners Gain awareness of integrated learning and performance workflows Understand how project documentation supports sustainability and handoff Translate technical and project coordination experience into civilian workplace skills The participant will assist with: Supporting testing activities and documenting findings Continuing Cornerstone learning and performance module documentation Supporting early planning discussions related to LinkedIn Learning and Cornerstone integration Supporting Change management, knowledge transfer and transition planning Preparing professional development artifacts (e.g., resume inputs, skills summaries)
