What these labels mean

MOU active: An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon: The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired: The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated: The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing: The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing: Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
Sparse listing: Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.

Summary

The incumbent serves as a Security Guard assigned under the authority of the Senior Commander at Tooele Army Depot. This position functions as the first layer of defense in a security-in-depth concept to deter, detect, delay, assess, respond, and document unauthorized access to Army installations restricted to the general public. Guards are responsible for preserving the life, health and safety of government personnel and safeguarding Army property, and technologies against such threats as: unlawful entry, sabotage, espionage, theft, accidental or willful damage, and destruction on installations.

What the work involves

Performs installation access control for pedestrians and vehicles utilizing standard operating procedures, written orders and regulatory requirement as a guide to access determination for a wide range of unique circumstances. Authenticates identification through use of electronic Personnel Access Control Systems (ePACS), identification cards, badges, biometric automated records, verbal questioning, and other means. Validates entry requests through the use of ePACS and grants access to persons and vehicles with appropriate authorizations. Serves as the initial point of contact for the installation’s visitors which may include foreign nationals, government agents, elective officials, media and Very Important Persons (VIP); provides answers to questions, determines whether appropriate need for access exists, and provides assistance as required. Incumbent serves as a member of the installation’s overall security response capability during actual or simulated incidents. Implements the installation closure plan securing ACPs at heightened FPCONs, emergencies or disasters and becomes a part of the installation response capability.
