What these labels mean

MOU active: An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon: The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired: The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated: The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing: The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing: Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
Sparse listing: Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.

Summary

This position is responsible for coordinating and generating documentation such as RFIs, submittals, memos, and transmittals. You will also be responsible for verifying the accuracy of submittals, confirming final drawings, inspecting installed materials, and identifying as-built changes during project closeout.

What the work involves

• Setup project files and maintenance of all plans and specifications, while ensuring appropriate distribution of copies to field office personnel • Create and track submittals, transmittals, requests for information, and shop drawing logs • Communicate with subcontractors to inform them of upcoming bids; distribute plans, specifications, and addenda; and ensure they have adequate certificates of insurance • Confirm that all materials are delivered on time and are in compliance with project drawings and specifications • Monitor quality control and safety programs to ensure the project is following approved plans • Take notes on conversations with all parties involved in the project, file all correspondence in project files, and assist in preparation of reports • Coordinate all closeout procedures including O&M manuals, as-builts, warranties, keys, and extra materials • Record and distribute meeting minutes • Generate work plans and document job site activities, including progress pictures • Identifying problems, gathering and analyzing information, and making appropriate recommendations to make your project successful • Meeting established goals, while ensuring quality of work through accuracy and thoroughness • Being flexible, well organized, and detail oriented, using efficient time management skills to meeting project deadlines and schedules • Making timely decisions using sound and accurate judgment while keeping appropriate people informed in the decision process. • Having a working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Primavera • Working to increase your job knowledge, using resources effectively and exhibiting the ability to learn and apply new skills
