What these labels mean

MOU active: An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon: The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired: The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated: The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing: The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing: Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
Sparse listing: Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.

Summary

The Skillbridge Operator Intern operates assigned equipment or areas of the plant to ensure safe, quality, and efficient operation of the entire plant. This role will perform the duties associated with but not limited to operating the plant, which includes the operation of control systems and devices to monitor levels, temperatures, pressures, flow rates and transfer of products, writing Safe Work Permits, sampling, making area checks, Red Tags, Return to Operations (RTO), completing checklists, housekeeping, etc.

Responsibilities - Duties, projects, tasks, and activities you would be responsible for in this role Follow Operating Discipline principles, procedures and practices to ensure safe and efficient operation of assigned plant areas. Operate and field check process equipment. Monitor process conditions, equipment and control systems. Perform tasks assigned to operations as per Master Task List. (e.g., Field checks, equipment preparation, samples, etc.)Ensure operational activities and process performance are aligned with Plant and business goals. Use troubleshooting skills to resolve process, product quality, safety, and environmental problems and identify equipment requiring maintenance. As required, initiate and participate in Root Cause Investigations. Perform immediate response activities assigned by Immediate Response Leader. Perform process equipment troubleshooting, minor repairs, improvements and preventative maintenance, utilizing appropriate processes and disciplines Perform all duties with a high degree of dedication to safety and environmental stewardship. Qualifications - Required education, experience and abilities that are needed for this role (must haves)High School diploma or equivalent AND be accepted into the SkillBridge program. Willing and able to work shift work, not to exceed 40 hours a week during internship. Must possess a TWIC card or be eligible to obtain a TWIC card. A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.
