What these labels mean
- MOU active
- An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
- MOU expires soon
- The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
- MOU expired
- The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
- MOU date not stated
- The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
- Detailed listing
- The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
- Partial listing
- Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
- Sparse listing
- Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.
Dates come from the government SkillBridge export. We do not screen, rank, or endorse organizations, and we take nothing from them.

About STO Building Group
STO Building Group (STOBG) is a construction management and general contracting organization founded in 1971. It operates as a family of companies that includes Structure Tone, Structure Tone Southwest, Structure Tone International, Pavarini McGovern, Pavarini North East Construction, LF Driscoll, LF Driscoll Healthcare, Govan Brown, Ajax Building Company, BCCI Construction, Layton Construction, Abbott Construction, and RC Andersen. The organization has offices across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. Its work spans a broad range of construction sectors, including healthcare, corporate interiors, mission critical, life sciences, education, government, and sports and entertainment, among others.
The SkillBridge program at STOBG runs for 151 to 180 days and is conducted in person at 5 locations across 3 states: Arizona, Florida, and New Jersey. The program offers three role tracks: Assistant Superintendent, Project Engineer, and Safety Manager. Interns in the Assistant Superintendent track take on field coordination responsibilities, including subcontractor oversight, schedule preparation, quality control inspections, and daily reporting. Project Engineer interns support project managers and superintendents with submittals, requests for information, document control, cost control participation, and subcontractor scheduling. Safety Manager interns work on implementing safety policies and procedures in compliance with OSHA regulations and monitoring safety management systems.
All three tracks are in-person and place interns directly in construction project environments alongside experienced personnel. The roles reflect work that translates directly from military experience in supervision, logistics coordination, safety enforcement, and documentation.
