What these labels mean

MOU active: An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon: The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired: The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated: The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing: The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing: Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
Sparse listing: Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.

Summary

The Client Support Technician SkillBridge Internship prepares transitioning services members for careers in Educational Technology or the entry-level general computer jobs. The internship setting is at an alternative high school serving at-risk youth. Interns will gain experience in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and fixing general computer issues, and customer service. The structured training includes hands-on learning through modeling and written/hands-on assessments that evaluate technical knowledge and skills and professionalism and customer service. This will program will prepare service members seeking CompTIA A+.

What the work involves

The Client Support Technician provides basic technical assistance to students, teachers, and staff. This entry-level role is responsible for troubleshooting common computer issues, setting up equipment, and supporting the school's technology needs. Tasks include helping users with login problems, installing software, maintaining classroom devices, and assisting with hardware such as printers, laptops, and tablets. The technician works under the supervision of the school's IT staff and develops foundational skills in customer service, technology support, and problem-solving.

Summary

This 180-day SkillBridge internship prepares transitioning service members for careers in education through a hands-on instructional aide role at an alternative high school serving at-risk youth. Interns will gain experience supporting classroom instruction, special education services, front office operations, and student engagement under the mentorship of certified teachers and administrators. The structured training includes weekly modules aligned to key education career competencies such as classroom management, lesson preparation, IEP support, small-group instruction, and school operations. Participants will receive professional development and also complete a capstone project that will help prepare interns determine and map out a career plan in teacher, school support, or school administration.

Eligibility

Must obtain an Arizona Fingerprint Level 1 IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.

The Instructional Aide supports classroom instruction and school operations in an alternative high school serving at-risk youth. Working under the direction of highly qualified teachers and school administrators, the aide plays a key role in supporting special education compliance, preparing instructional materials, assisting with grading, and reinforcing classroom management strategies. Additional responsibilities include front desk support - such as handling attendance, assisting with daily communication, and opportunities to co-facilitate or lead elective class under teacher supervision. This hands-on role offers meaningful engagement with students who face academic, behavioral, or socio-emotional challenges, contributing to a structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
