What these labels mean

MOU active: An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon: The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired: The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated: The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing: The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing: Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
Sparse listing: Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.

Summary

Rifenburg Construction is seeking transitioning service members interested in building a career in heavy civil construction through our Department of Defense SkillBridge Program. Participants will receive hands-on training alongside experienced project managers while gaining exposure to project planning, scheduling, estimating, field operations, safety, subcontractor coordination, and construction management. This program is designed to prepare participants for a successful transition into the construction industry with the opportunity for full-time employment upon successful completion and military separation.

Eligibility

-Must be approved by their Command to participate in SkillBridge-Within 180 days of military separation-Ability to work in a team environment-Strong communication and organizational skills-Interest in construction and project management-Valid driver's license preferred

What the work involves

During the 12-week SkillBridge program, participants will receive structured training in:-Assistant Project Management fundamentals-Construction planning and scheduling-Reading construction plans and specifications-Estimating and quantity takeoffs-Budget tracking and project cost controls-Contract administration and documentation-Field coordination with superintendents and subcontractors-Safety and quality control processes-Construction management software and reporting-Client communication and project meetings-Leadership and professional development-Participants will work directly with experienced construction professionals on active -heavy civil construction projects while developing the skills necessary for a successful civilian career.
