What these labels mean

MOU active: An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon: The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired: The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated: The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing: The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing: Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
Sparse listing: Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.

NFI, L.P. is a family-owned supply chain and logistics company headquartered in Camden, NJ. In operation since 1932, the company provides end-to-end logistics services across distribution, dedicated transportation, port services, freight brokerage, intermodal, transportation management, eCommerce fulfillment, and real estate development. Its SkillBridge program spans 9 locations across 6 states: FL, NJ, NY, PA, SC, and TX.

SkillBridge interns at NFI work in one of three tracks depending on their background and career direction. The Logistics Coordinator track places interns inside a dedicated fleet operation, where they handle load planning, driver scheduling, dispatch, data entry into NFI's proprietary order management system TMW, invoice coordination, and weekly KPI reporting. The CDL A Military Driver Training track runs 61 to 90 days and focuses on behind-the-wheel road time, DOT regulations, and NFI company and account procedures, with training aligned to Military Occupation Specialty under the FMCSA Military Skills Test Waiver Program. The Diesel Technician track puts interns alongside NFI maintenance technicians, covering troubleshooting and repair of electrical and mechanical tractor and trailer issues using tools such as JPRO, OEM diagnostic software, multimeters, and Windows-based systems, along with preventive maintenance and DOT inspections per FMCSA guidelines.

All three tracks are conducted in person. NFI states it has career opportunities for transportation, logistics, and maintenance roles at varying skill levels.

What the work involves

Perform all duties safely and responsibly. Follow all federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or customer rules, standards and guidelines. Physically capable to perform all job duties, which includes moving frequently, standing, walking, and sitting. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg. Ability to report all problems with equipment, as well as accidents, traffic violations, and damage before, during and after route. Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area. Ability to perform routes, pickups & deliveries based on customer requirements.

What the work involves
