What these labels mean

MOU active: An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon: The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired: The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated: The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing: The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing: Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
Sparse listing: Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.

Summary

Fabricates and assembles a variety of different assemblies and supporting hardware, applying knowledge of assembly techniques, and using precision instruments, hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment. Reads and interprets blueprints, work orders, and related documentation to determine method and sequence of operations and dimensional and finish specifications. Assumes responsibility for maintaining accurate inventory.

Eligibility

Qualifications: • Experience using tools, machines, or your hands to create products or components • 1-2 years of manufacturing assembly experience preferred • Strong attention to detail • Hand-eye coordination • Ability to do repetitive tasks • Good interpersonal skills. • Team and individually goal-oriented. • Experience with Continuous Improvement. • Basic Computer Skills • Must submit to and satisfactorily pass any pre-employment screening required for employment with the Company. • Must take medical exams required by law, in conjunction with occupation specific activities, the physical work environment, and ongoing industrial hygiene sampling results. • Depending on assignment, may be required to use stairs, remain upright and/or seated for prolonged timeframes, intermittently reposition the body per various tasks performed, and use various tools and work-related supplies. • May be required to perform manual lifting activities, not to exceed a 40lb lift performed by one individual. Education: • High School diploma or GED.

What the work involves

Essential Job Functions: • Assemble and calibrate production parts. • Follows assembly drawings, customer ATP’s and work instructions to build product to requirements. • Fills out necessary paperwork, including travelers, pull sheets and forms for shipments. • Lifting of materials (min 30lbs) and test manifolds. • Mix ingredients, primers, adhesives and sealants according to specifications. • Trim, drill, ream, grind, sand and finish parts using templates and hand tools. • Assure compliance with customer specifications and requirements including shipping details. • Meet customer and NMG goals of quality, OTIF and costs. • Proficient with E10 transactions, including but not limited to issuing of material and operations. • Meet NMG goals of quality, OTIF and labor standards. Additional Duties: • Provide support for Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, companywide. • Other duties, reporting, special assignments, or projects as needed and assigned. • Must remain current with, and complete all required training as assigned. • Must adhere to Company Corporate EHS Policy and department, occupation, and task specific safety protocols, including but not limited to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.

Eligibility

Qualifications: • 2+ years’ manufacturing experience operating manufacturing/production equipment; preferably manual and/or CNC machines • Familiarity with machining centers, metrology tools • Experience following written work instructions and blueprints • Strong mechanical aptitude preferred • Able to work in a team environment, including being cross trained for multiple work assignments. • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office products and ERP systems (vantage and/or E-10 preferred) • Must submit to and satisfactorily pass any pre-employment screening required for employment with the Company. • Must take medical exams required by law, in conjunction with occupation specific activities, the physical work environment, and ongoing industrial hygiene sampling results. • Depending on assignment, may be required to use stairs, remain upright and/or seated for prolonged timeframes, intermittently reposition the body per various tasks performed, and use various tools and work-related supplies. • May be required to perform manual lifting activities, not to exceed a 40lb lift performed by one individual. May run more than one unit simultaneously. • Maintain good housekeeping during all phases of production • Meet established safety, quality, and production standards. • Load and un-load parts as necessary to machining process • Change inserts and tooling as necessary • Inspect parts for quality assurance • Support production in multiple work assignments as needed.
