What these labels mean

MOU active: An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon: The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired: The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated: The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing: The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing: Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
Sparse listing: Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.

MCA is seeking a motivated, transitioning U.S. service member to join our Talent Acquisition team through the DoD SkillBridge Program. The SkillBridge Intern will work alongside experienced MCA technicians to learn how to install, test, troubleshoot, and support security systems, including access control, CCTV, intrusion/burglar alarm systems, cabling, card readers, cameras, door strikes, magnetic locks, panels, and power supplies. The intern will assist with project installations, service work, low voltage cabling, basic testing, inventory support, time entry, and documentation. This role is ideal for a transitioning service member interested in hands-on technical work, field service, low voltage, communications, electronics, IT, networking, or security systems. Prior experience is helpful but not required.

What You Will Bring to the Team- Eligibility for the DoD SkillBridge Program (active-duty transitioning service member).- Strong interest in a civilian career in physical security, low-voltage systems, or electronics.- Mechanical and technical aptitude; ability to learn new systems and tools.- Basic understanding of electrical, electronic, or IT concepts (formal experience not required).- Ability to read and follow basic diagrams, drawings, or instructions.- Comfortable using hand and power tools or willing to learn.- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.- Ability to work on job sites and comply with background or licensing requirements, as applicable.
