MOU status: DoD MOU current through December 29, 2027.

What these labels mean

MOU active: An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon: The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired: The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated: The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing: The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing: Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
Sparse listing: Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.

Summary

McClinton and Roy is seeking transitioning Service Members to participate in a 180-day DoD SkillBridge internship focused on government consulting, capture management, and business development. This program provides structured, hands-on training designed to prepare participants for entry-level to junior-level roles supporting federal acquisition, consulting delivery, and proposal development. Participants train under direct mentor supervision while contributing to real-world consulting and capture activities aligned with McClinton and Roy’s federal mission support services

What the work involves

Training Focus Areas Participants will receive training and practical experience in the following areas: Federal acquisition and procurement processes Government consulting support and analysis Federal market research and opportunity identification Capture planning and go/no-go analysis Teaming and partner research Compliance and requirements analysis Proposal development support Professional communication and reporting Key Duties and Responsibilities Under mentor supervision, participants will: Research federal agencies, missions, and acquisition trends Identify and track federal contracting opportunities Analyze RFIs, Sources Sought, and pre-solicitation notices Assist with capture planning and strategy development Draft capability statements, opportunity summaries, and SWOT analyses Build compliance and requirements matrices Support proposal writing and review activities Assist with consulting or acquisition support deliverables Prepare briefings, reports, and a final capstone presentation Training Structure The internship follows a phased, progressive training model: Orientation and Foundations – Federal acquisition and consulting fundamentals Market Research and Opportunity Identification Capture Planning and Pre-Proposal Support Proposal Development and Consulting Support Advanced Application and Client Support Capstone Project and Transition Readiness Training includes instructor-led virtual sessions, hands-on assignments, and weekly mentor check-ins. Deliverables and Evaluation Participants are evaluated throughout the program based on: Quality and accuracy of research and analysis Understanding of acquisition and capture processes Professional written and verbal communication Responsiveness to feedback Completion and quality of assigned deliverables Final capstone project and presentation Training Outcomes Upon successful completion, participants will have: Practical experience supporting federal consulting and capture activities Hands-on exposure to acquisition and proposal development processes A professional portfolio including: Opportunity analyses Capture plans Compliance matrices Proposal or consulting artifacts This program prepares participants for potential civilian roles such as: Junior Government Consultant Business Development Analyst Capture Analyst Proposal Support Specialist
