What these labels mean

MOU active: An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon: The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired: The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated: The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing: The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing: Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
Sparse listing: Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.

Summary

The Maritime Operations & Maintenance Leadership Development Program provides transitioning service members with hands-on training in fleet maintenance management, operational logistics, and leadership within a growing maritime services company. Participants will gain real-world experience managing preventative maintenance systems, coordinating vessel readiness, and optimizing cloud-based maintenance tracking tools. Eligibility

Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in maintenance operations, logistics, and maritime operations. Experience in equipment maintenance, engineering, or operational leadership is preferred. Candidates should be comfortable working in a dynamic environment and using digital tools for tracking and reporting. Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving ability, and willingness to learn are essential.

What the work involves

As a participant in the Maritime Operations & Maintenance Leadership Development Program, individuals will receive structured training in vessel maintenance management, fleet readiness, and operational coordination. Key training areas include:- Developing and managing preventative maintenance schedules for vessels and equipment- Utilizing cloud-based maintenance tracking systems to monitor asset performance and service intervals- Coordinating maintenance activities with operational and contract requirements- Managing work orders, repair timelines, and vendor relationships- Supporting logistics planning to ensure vessel readiness and deployment capability- Analyzing maintenance data to identify inefficiencies and improve system performance- Developing leadership skills through team coordination, task delegation, and operational communication Participants will progressively take on increased responsibility under supervision. This program prepares participants for full-time roles in maintenance management, fleet operations, and maritime logistics.
