What the work involves
This course provides instruction in facial techniques, skin analysis, and the identification of diseases and disorders of the skin. Students will receive training in eyelash extensions, laser hair removal, electrolysis, facial machines, and chemical peels. What the work involves
The objective of the Esthetician – Manicure program is to develop, in each student, a basic knowledge of all types of facial services, skin disorders and diseases, and nail disorders and diseases. Students will learn techniques in manicure, pedicure, and artificial nail application services, facial cleansing and facial massage, as well as makeup and various eyelash applications. Additional instruction includes skin analysis, eyelash extensions, laser hair removal, electrolysis, facial machines, and chemical peels. The purpose of the Esthetician – Manicure program is to develop the knowledge and skills in the practice of esthetics, makeup, manicuring, and pedicuring necessary for success on the state board examinations and to gain entry-level employment and long-term career opportunities within the beauty industry.
