What these labels mean

MOU active: An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon: The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired: The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated: The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing: The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing: Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
Sparse listing: Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.

Boutique law office seeking a business and entertainment law paralegal to support our growing needs.

What the work involves

A paralegal in our office will primarily work in the firm's three main practice areas: (1) business/corporate law; (2) intellectual property law; and (3) entertainment law. As part of that, the paralegal will be tasked with supporting the firm's litigation and transactional practices on a day-to-day basis. Essential Job Functions: • Assist attorneys in analyzing/reviewing discovery production, case filings, and other legal documents related to cases. • Drafting and responding to pleadings, discovery, motions for summary judgment, and other dispositive motions. • Prepare materials for and assist in preparation for depositions, hearings, trials, and related proceedings. • Coordinate filing of pleadings/documents and arrange for service. • Assist attorneys in analyzing/reviewing contract documents, schedules, addenda, and other legal documents related to corporate transactions. • Drafting contract documents and collaborating on deal terms. • Act as a liaison between clients, colleagues, and experts to ensure timely communication of case information and production of materials. • Maintain professional demeanor and attitude. • Comply with firm policies. • Sustain attention to detail and quality of work. • Learn/develop technical proficiency in database use and management; internet/electronic research; and project folder/electronic file maintenance. • Anticipate attorney needs.
