What these labels mean

MOU active: An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon: The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired: The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated: The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing: The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing: Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
Sparse listing: Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.

Position Overview The UAS Field Operations Technician supports commercial unmanned aircraft system (UAS) operations by assisting drone pilots with field logistics, equipment preparation, battery management, and operational safety. This role plays a critical part in maintaining efficient workflow during drone missions by ensuring equipment readiness, supporting refilling operations, monitoring safety conditions, and assisting with site setup and breakdown. The position combines technical equipment support with hands-on field operations in agricultural and land-management environments. Technicians work closely with pilots and operations personnel to ensure safe, organized, and compliant flight operations. Key Responsibilities Assist drone pilots during commercial UAS flight operations Manage battery charging cycles and monitor battery readiness Transport, stage, and organize batteries, equipment, and operational supplies Assist with chemical mixing, loading, and refill operations when required Serve as a visual observer (VO) during active flight operations Maintain safe operational zones and monitor surrounding conditions Assist with field setup, site organization, and operational staging Support loading and unloading of drones, generators, and equipment Monitor equipment condition and report maintenance needs Maintain organized workflow to support efficient mission execution Assist with equipment cleaning and daily inspection procedures Follow all safety protocols, PPE requirements, and operational guidelines Safety & Compliance Responsibilities Follow company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)Adhere to FAA safety guidelines applicable to ground support personnel Use required personal protective equipment when handling chemicals or equipment Support risk mitigation practices during field operations Assist with incident reporting when required Preferred Qualifications Military, agriculture, construction, or field operations background Experience working with equipment, machinery, or power systems Strong work ethic and reliability in outdoor environments Ability to follow structured safety procedures and checklists Good communication and teamwork skills No prior drone experience is required.
