What these labels mean

MOU active: An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon: The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired: The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated: The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing: The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing: Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
Sparse listing: Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.

To offer in-person, hands-on electrical training to enable individuals to learn to how operate equipment safely, read blue-prints, and service electrical issues in a variety of settings: commercial, farm, and residential.

What the work involves

.Electrician Apprentice Responsibilities: • Learning from the master electrician and completing all assigned duties. • Identifying, analyzing, troubleshooting, and assisting with repairs of equipment and electrical faults. • Traveling out to various public and private spaces to assist the master electrician. • Interpreting blueprints and schematics. • Completing electrical installations and carrying out various maintenance duties. • Communicating with clients in a professional, courteous manner • Collaborating with construction workers, plumbers, and other crew members. • Measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit, using measuring instruments and hand tools • Maintain tools, vehicles and equipment and keep parts and supplies in order • Perform semi-skilled and unskilled laboring duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems • Follow safety codes and building regulations • Prepare and clean work areas • Carry and deliver materials • Maintaining a timecard • Working irregular hours and overtime when required. Electrician Apprentice Requirements: • A relevant license and certification. • Practical experience working with electrical systems and equipment. • Ability to read technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. • A willingness to learn and work overtime when required. • Ability to handle criticism appropriately. • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation • Ability to use power tools • Operates manlift, bucket truck, and all associated electrical maintenance equipment in a safe and respectful way
