Interns may be placed in roles aligned to their background and career goals within the construction industry. One identified track is an IT Help Desk Specialist position, which involves providing first-line technical support to users of Gilbane's information systems and telecommunications, logging and tracking calls, and preparing incident reports. Participants work on-site at a Gilbane office for the duration of the program.

The Help Desk Specialist I provides first line support to the users of Gilbane’s Information Systems and telecommunications, including hardware and software problems via Help Desk toll free line.
