What these labels mean

MOU active: An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon: The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired: The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated: The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing: The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing: Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
Sparse listing: Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.

About ForgeNow

ForgeNow is a trade school located in Lewisville, Texas that offers hands-on technical training in four skilled trades: HVAC, electrical wiring, plumbing, and facilities maintenance. Each program runs between 31 and 60 days and is conducted in person. All four programs are GI Bill eligible, covering 15 percent of total GI Bill benefits, or 5.5 of the 36 months.

Participants complete the same in-person, hands-on curriculum offered to the general student population. Depending on the track selected, a participant may work toward certifications such as EPA 608 Universal, OSHA-10, and North American Technician Excellence credentials at the Ready to Work, Support Technician, or Core levels. Training includes hands-on assessments, safety protocol and PPE application, and customer service and professional conduct instruction aligned to field requirements.

The work a participant performs varies by track. HVAC students train toward roles as maintenance technicians or installers. Electrical students train toward an apprentice electrician role. Plumbing students learn to read blueprints, install pipe systems, and troubleshoot malfunctions. Facilities maintenance students cover electrical repairs, preventive maintenance, equipment setup, and general building upkeep. All four programs are open to service members of any military occupational classification. ForgeNow also provides career placement support to graduates.
