MILITARY FELLOWSHIP PROGRAMDominion Energy’s Military Fellowship Program is a Department of Defense SkillBridge approved program. Fellowship opportunities are aligned with our long-term workforce needs and provide transitioning servicemembers with meaningful, hands-on experience that may lead to full-time employment upon separation from the military. Fellowship durations may vary and can extend up to 180 days, based on mutual agreement between the selected servicemember and their military command. Servicemember Requirements To enroll in a corporate internship while still on active duty, the servicemember must be able to meet eligibility compliance and receive command approval. Once an internship offer has been extended, the servicemember may proceed in routing a completed program application for command awareness and approval. The internship cannot commence until you are 180 days or less from your separation date (i.e., EAOS, EAS).Have met all instructional criteria outlined in DODI 1322.29, and relevant Service instructions Obtain command approval to participate (i.e., signature required on Intern Application)Provide final notification of command approval to the Employer.

What the work involves

Job Summary Works under the direction of a Supervisor or Senior Technician and performs maintenance and calibration activities. Performs work activities in both a shop and field environment to include both normal and radiological areas of the plant. Work activities are related to maintenance, installation, calibration, maintenance and testing of safety related equipment associated with electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation and control systems. Completes the following activities independently and or, for more complex tasks, under direction of a lead or supervisor depending on qualifications: Actively involved in completing scheduled work activities such as preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, calibrations and troubleshooting. Completes maintenance and calibration of major instrumentation and control associated with reactor protection and turbine control in addition to other important safety related equipment. Works on both analog and digital control systems and includes maintenance on microprocessor, electronic and pneumatic instrumentation and control systems including pressure, temperature and flow sensors and associated alarm circuits. Corrects anomalous operation of control and protection systems through the use of computer traces and trends, data obtained using sophisticated test equipment and fundamental and advanced investigative techniques. Accurately completes documentation associated with assigned job tasks and complies with all regulatory and site procedures and policies, including Site Emergency Plan and technical Specifications. Complies with and demonstrates working knowledge of Work Management processes, Equipment Clearances (safety tagging), Radiological Work Permits associated with department maintenance work assignments, and safety regulations, policies and practices. Works with other departments with performing maintenance, calibrations, testing of equipment and control loops, and troubleshooting on systems and equipment, including the reactor containment and other radiological areas, during all modes of plant operation. Uses industry accepted human performance practices to promote error free performance and coaches others to raise standards and expectations. Satisfactorily completes the initial training requirements and on-the-job training and evaluation requirements identified in the Nuclear Instrument Technician Training Program as accredited by the National Academy for Nuclear Training. Supports Engineers in the conduct data collection and testing. As necessary, performs circuit board component level repair and calibration. Assists with plant design changes and modification, both electrically and mechanically, for new or upgraded instrumentation and controls. Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience The knowledge, skills, abilities and experience required for entry into this job include the following: Eligible Military servicemembers with the appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined in the “Education Section” is required. Successful completion of I&C Development Program or equivalency. Must have at least 2 years of experience working in I&C. Demonstrated detailed knowledge of electronic equipment and circuitry. Demonstrated detailed understanding in the theories of instrumentation and control and their methods of application in nuclear power stations. Demonstrated ability to perform complex troubleshooting of analog and digital instrumentation and control circuits. Demonstrated detailed comprehension of electrical and mechanical physical/dimensional measurements. Demonstrated ability to interpret diagrams, prints, vendor technical manuals and detailed written procedural instructions and to perform work using the information. Demonstrated detailed knowledge of and ability to apply safety regulations, policies, and practices. Must be physically able and willing to utilize respirators, SCBA bottles, fall protection or other equipment essential to the requirements of maintaining a Nuclear Power Plant including making containment entries. Must be able to and willing to work at varying elevations, confined quarters and radiological areas of the plant. Must have the physical ability to carry a minimum of 50 pounds tooling, test equipment, and plant equipment. Education Requirements Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education: Associate Preferred Disciplines: Instrumentation Technology Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred disciplines(s) listed above.

Fellowship durations may vary and can extend up to 180 days, based on mutual agreement between the selected servicemember and their military command.SUPPLY MANAGEMENTDominion Energy’s Supply Management organization performs the following functions, among other related tasks in support of the company’s business.- Performs supply chain and logistics functions including materials and service procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, category management, vendor selection, and distribution.- Creates integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers.- Establishes key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.- Promotes alignment by understanding and communicating customer needs and requirements throughout the organization.- Prepares bids or requests for proposals (RFPs), including specifications and requirements; negotiates contract terms and participates in the determination of acceptable bids.

Opportunities in our Supply Management organization may be located across the company’s footprint based on where there may be full-time workforce needs. These may include our corporate office locations and our generating stations and field operations locations. Fellowship opportunities may include but are not limited to the following categories. Level of full-time opportunities will also vary based on workforce needs: Materials Management: Coordinates incoming and outgoing movement and storage of raw materials, finished products and parts that include functions such as warehousing, shop and delivery services to ensure material availability and delivery when needed to meet production schedules. Compiles data on order volume, production schedules and forecasts and applies statistical methods to estimate future materials requirements. Sourcing: Negotiates favorable terms, volume discounts and long-term contracts with suppliers and prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of goods, services and supplies for customer-related business processes or for internal use as a generalist or in a combination of supply management disciplines. Transportation: Analyzes transportation and distribution systems and procedures to ensure the efficient and economical delivery of the organization's products. Reviews proposals and makes recommendations for modifications in rates and transportation regulations. Evaluates freight classifications, tariff rates and operating efficiency to ensure the proper delivery of products. Plans and coordinates fleet operations, including acquisition, scheduling, maintenance service and repair, and disposal of trucks, and hires common carriers (third-party transportation companies) as appropriate. Warehouse/Logistics: Administers and operates the organization's warehouses, including processing, packaging and storage of supplies, materials and equipment. Accounts for all materials and supplies in the stores facilities and audits goods received into the warehouses. Oversees receipt, storage and shipment of materials, and related reporting in accordance with established procedures. Prepares and coordinates schedules for shipping and receiving materials to control the flow of goods and regulate warehouse space. Ensures the effectiveness of operating procedures, space utilization, and maintenance and protection of facilities and equipment.
