What these labels mean
- MOU active
- An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
- MOU expires soon
- The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
- MOU expired
- The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
- MOU date not stated
- The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
- Detailed listing
- The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
- Partial listing
- Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
- Sparse listing
- Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.
Dates come from the government SkillBridge export. We do not screen, rank, or endorse organizations, and we take nothing from them.

What the work involves
We’re looking for a mission-driven self-starter to help keep the AFIN infrastructure, including servers, virtual infrastructure, and core directory, messaging, and storage services running at peak performance — safeguarding the AFIN for warfighters. In this role you’ll install, secure, monitor, and tune systems that thousands of users rely on every day. When issues arise, you’ll troubleshoot quickly, apply patches, and refine automation scripts so tomorrow’s shift inherits an even more resilient environment. Typical job functions include: • Administering Windows & Linux servers in on-prem and virtual clusters, applying STIG-compliant baselines and hardening checklists. • Managing Active Directory account lifecycles and Group Policy to enforce least-privilege access across mission systems. • Coordinating monthly vulnerability scans and patch deployments, documenting compliance in VMS/ACT dashboards. • Monitoring system health and capacity with SolarWinds, Net Cool, and native hypervisor tools, tuning alerts to minimize false positives. • Executing backup, snapshot, and disaster-recovery drills for virtual machines and SAN volumes to meet 99.8 % availability goals. • Supporting Exchange / M365, Teams, and SharePoint services, troubleshooting mail-flow or permissions issues affecting end users. • Automating routine tasks with PowerShell or Bash scripts, generating change logs and version-controlled runbooks. • Documenting configurations, incidents, and lessons learned in ServiceNow and unit knowledge bases for audit and turnover. • Collaborating with cybersecurity, network operations, and help-desk teams to resolve tickets and improve service delivery. • Participating in Change Advisory Boards and compliance audits, supplying evidence of controls and remediation status. If you thrive on solving complex technical problems and want to help secure critical Air Force missions in a collaborative, high-stakes environment, this position is the perfect launch-pad for your IT career!
