What these labels mean

MOU active: An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon: The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired: The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated: The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing: The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing: Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
Sparse listing: Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.

What the work involves

CAI is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to support the startup, testing, and commissioning of mission-critical facilities, including hyperscale data centers and other complex infrastructure projects. This position is ideal for candidates with either a mechanical or electrical background who are passionate about ensuring building systems are installed, tested, and operating safely and efficiently. Commissioning Engineers work closely with project managers, contractors, design teams, equipment vendors, and clients throughout the construction and commissioning process to verify systems perform according to design intent. Key Responsibilities Lead or support commissioning activities from construction through project turnover. Develop and execute pre-functional checklists and functional performance tests. Review construction documents, specifications, submittals, and commissioning plans. Perform field inspections and equipment walkdowns to verify installation quality. Coordinate testing activities with contractors, vendors, and project stakeholders. Verify mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and control systems operate as designed. Identify, document, and track deficiencies through resolution. Participate in Integrated Systems Testing (IST) and overall system validation. Prepare commissioning reports, punch lists, and final turnover documentation. Ensure all commissioning activities comply with project specifications, client requirements, and safety standards. Travel to client sites throughout North America as project needs require.
