What these labels mean

MOU active: An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon: The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired: The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated: The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing: The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing: Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
Sparse listing: Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.

The Biomedical Equipment Technician I conducts cost-effective maintenance on company and customer-owned medical equipment primarily located at customer sites, to ensure they are functioning properly and meet customers’ needs. They perform operational verification, preventive maintenance, and corrective repair service.

Eligibility

What You Will Need for This Role An associate degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or biomedical equipment technology. Alternative qualifications include Equivalent military training or Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET).Basic computer skills; understanding of computer networks and equipment interaction. Must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted driver’s license. Must have a safe driving record based on Agiliti policies. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as emergency off-hours as needed to support a 24/7 schedule. Willingness to travel periodically to support business needs. The ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 75 pounds. The ability to often bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch/squat, kneel/crawl, sit, stand and walk for extended periods of time.

What You Will Do in This Role Conduct cost-effective equipment inspection, maintenance, calibration, and repair service on various medical devices. Complete all paperwork and computer data entry accurately and promptly to ensure complete documentation for billing and regulatory compliance. Communicate with clinical staff on the topics of equipment features, functionality, etc.

Summary

The College of Biomedical Equipment Technology offers a hybrid program delivering biomedical equipment technician training, career services, and job placement support. The program is ideally suited for Service members with technical occupational specialties interested in pursuing a career as a biomedical equipment technician. During the SkillBridge program students will receive up to 24 credit hours of education towards a certificate program and hands-on training within one of our healthcare industry partners. Additionally, the College of Biomedical Equipment Technology offers Imaging training in partnership with Medical Imaging Solutions Group, that includes advanced imaging training at the Imaging Academy in Las Vegas, Nevada and Woodstock, Georgia. Our programs are ideally suited for both seasoned professionals and Service members with transferable skills.
