What these labels mean

MOU active: An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon: The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired: The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated: The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing: The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing: Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
Sparse listing: Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.

The College Hills Baptist Church DOD SkillBridge Ministry Internship exists to equip transitioning servicemembers for a lifetime of faithful ministry by making disciples who make disciples who make disciples. Through intentional mentorship, biblical instruction, and real-world ministry experience, the programdevelops servant-hearted leaders grounded in God’s Word, committed to the local church, and preparedto impact others with the gospel of Jesus Christ. College Hills Baptist Church is honored to partner with the Department of Defense (DOD) SkillBridgeprogram to provide a structured 90-day pastoral ministry internship for service members transitioningto civilian life. This program provides focused mentorship, theological training, and hands-on ministryexperience to prepare candidates for leadership within local church settings.

What the work involves

Core Objectives: Engage in practical ministry training through supervised participation. Strengthen leadership and discipleship skills in a local church setting. Develop and execute ministry plans in line with CHBC’s mission. Support teaching, pastoral care, facility management, and outreach efforts. Receive mentorship and feedback from church leadership. Key Responsibilities: Assist with weekly service preparation and Sunday School coordination Support pastoral staff during worship, BTCL training, and prayer services Participate in planning and implementation of ministry events Contribute to facility maintenance and improvement efforts Maintain professional communication with congregation members Document and reflect on weekly learnings and insights
