What these labels mean

MOU active: An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon: The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired: The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated: The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing: The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing: Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
Sparse listing: Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.

Summary

The program is designed to give participants first hand experience operating on a regenerative organic certified farm. Each day the Production Manager will provide training and education on regenerative agriculture practices with hands-on experience. They will gain knowledge and experience in what it takes to run a regenerative organic farm from every angle. During the week, time will be set aside for participants to interact with mentors from across the industry. In addition, Carnation Farms has a fully operational farm stand, livestock program, event space, and culinary enterprise. The diverse nature of the farm will allow participants to experience different aspects of the food and agriculture space. Participants will receive mentorship from experienced leaders and become part of the Carnation Farms family network upon graduation. Eligibility

No farming experience is required. We prefer to have a mix of those who come from ag backgrounds and those who have never worked on a farm.

What the work involves

Participants in this program will be positioned to either work in leadership roles on a regenerative, organic, or sustainable farm; or launch their own regenerative farm or agricultural support business. We have partners and mentors from across the industry to work with and support the participants and walk with them on their journey. Participants will leave our program with a foundation in regenerative agriculture, agricultural business, market space access, and agriculture support activities; to include AgTech and other growing fields (pun intended). All graduates will be offered a fully paid one-year land lease at the Sno Valley Tilth as well as other follow-on educational opportunities.
