Position Overview: As part of the talented Thunder Jet Weld team, we are seeking a skilled Aluminum Welder with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in MIG and TIG welding. The ideal candidate will have strong fabrication abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings. This role involves producing high-quality welds on aluminum components and assisting with custom fabrication projects.

At Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.  Essential Functions: Minimum 2 years of welding experience including the ability to perform MIG and TIG welding processes on aluminum materials with precision and consistency. Be able to fabricate and assemble aluminum boats, including hulls, bottoms, and other components. Interpret and apply blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to plan and execute welding and fabrication procedures. Measure, cut, and fit aluminum components using a skill saw, band saw, and other fabrication tools. Inspect and test welded surfaces and structures to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards with project specifications. Operate hand and power tools, grinders, and other fabrication equipment safely and effectively. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all company safety policies and procedures. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure projects are completed on schedule. Complete all necessary documentation for production tracking and quality assurance. Identify and report risks and hazards to ensure a safe work environment for all personnel.

What the work involves

A Logistics Coordinator is a driven and motivated sales and boating professional that focuses on providing the highest level of customer service to all customers. This person should be dynamic and ready for anything that is asked upon them. This position is a support role for all aspects of day-to-day business involving sales. The Delivery Coordinator reports to the Sales Lead or General Manager and is expected to assist the Sales Lead with daily showroom setups, boat show setups, cleaning, minor rigging, unloading boats, staging boats, administrative work, picture taking, website postings, and anything else that may be asked upon them. This person is expected to be knowledgeable about all products that we offer, as well as safe boating practices and general services that they will be required to demonstrate to the customer. This person will be required to complete all training and continuously learn and adapt to new products that are offered and product changes that take place. It is the Delivery Coordinator’s responsibility to conduct training with customers to teach them about their new boat, motor, trailers, and any other accessories that are purchased. This includes general product information, service schedules, and safe boating practices. This person is also expected to assist with sales by keeping customers warm and demonstrating product knowledge to customers in the showroom and during off-site boat shows. They will be expected to deliver boats to customers both on-site and off-site, as well as move boats between multiple store locations when asked. The Delivery Coordinator is an industry professional and is expected to always project professionalism in both appearance and communication. Key Responsibilities/Training Objectives: • Deliver sold boats both on-site & off-site to customers and conduct training with customers to familiarize them with their new boat, answer questions, and inform customer of recommended service schedule. • Conduct check in process for new boats and notate any warranty or shipping damage. • Unload new boats/TOR and send appropriate paperwork to SDS. • Transfer inventory between multiple store locations • Upsell and demonstrate aftermarket accessories. • Keep all inventory on display clean and in showroom selling condition. • Answer phones, respond to emails, and greet customers. • Maintain a clean and professional sales environment through daily housekeeping and organization. • Assist Sales Lead with administrative work • Daily use of CRM system Preferred Experience and Skills/Learned Skills from program: • Excellent organizational skills • Outstanding verbal and written communication and people skills • Ability to Multitask • Superior understanding of MS Office/MS Excel and various business software • Ability to work cohesively in a team environment • Problem solving and strategic thinking • Proficiency with basic mathematics • Persuasiveness • Adequate knowledge of boats and boating safety

Position Summary: This internship provides experience as a Welder to support delivery of world-class service to Brunswick's client. Welders will provide quality craftsmanship that brings exceptional durability, performance, and comfort to a new generation of boaters. This position is located at our Harris Boats facility in Fort Wayne Indiana. Key Responsibilities/Training Objectives: • Perform all aspects of job in a safe and quality conscious manner • Operate welding equipment according to job guidelines and verify work to print(s) • Performs basic weld inspection and complete required paperwork in a timely manner • Ability to operate air tools such as screw guns, drills, sanders, and grinders • Ability to operate chop saws and band saws • Knowledge of fabrication parts • Communicate and coordinate with other departments as needed • Report supply needs, equipment breakdowns, shortages and poor-quality materials to supervisor or lead Preferred Experience and Skills/Learned Skills from program: • Learn and execute Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)/Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) techniques • Learn and execute Aluminum GMAW & GTAW techniques • Receive hours and experience towards a technical welding certificate • Work independently in a fast-paced team environment • Read prints/work instructions • Read and complete process sheets
