Summary
Overview of Proposed Program The proposed program is a 13-week Assistant Project Manager (APM) SkillBridge Training Program consisting of 520 total training hours (40 hours per week). The program is designed to prepare transitioning service members for a career in construction project management through a combination of classroom instruction, online learning, project management software training, on-the-job training, mentorship, jobsite visits, and participation in project meetings and coordination activities. Position/Career Training Provided For The program provides training for the role of Assistant Project Manager (APM) within the construction industry. Participants will learn project administration, documentation management, contract administration, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, compliance management, financial support functions, risk management, client coordination, and project closeout procedures. Expected Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Upon Acceptance Participants should possess foundational professional skills that support success in a project management environment, including: • Strong communication and organizational abilities • Basic computer proficiency and willingness to learn project management software • Ability to work in a team environment and interact professionally with clients, subcontractors, and vendors • Attention to detail and documentation accuracy • Interest in construction operations, project coordination, and leadership development • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines These baseline skills allow participants to successfully complete the progressive training modules and hands-on project experiences included in the program. Based on the training plan, participants will build proficiency in project documentation, scheduling, compliance, financial tracking, coordination, and project administration. Program Length • Duration: 13 weeks • Schedule: 40 hours per week • Total Training Hours: 520 hours How Skills Learned Will Be Measured Participant progress will be evaluated throughout the program using: • Completion of weekly training modules and learning objectives • Performance during on-the-job training assignments • Demonstration of proficiency in project management software and documentation processes • Mentor and supervisor evaluations • Participation in project meetings, coordination activities, and jobsite visits • Successful completion of the Integrated Project Management Practicum during Week 12 • Final competency assessment and Role Readiness Evaluation during Week 13 demonstrating proficiency in core Assistant Project Manager responsibilities Expected Salary$75,000 - $90,000. Funding for Training The SkillBridge training is funded by the participating employer and delivered through existing company resources, including employee mentors, project management systems, training materials, jobsite experiences, and supervisory support. During participation in the DoD SkillBridge program, service members generally continue receiving their military pay and benefits through the Department of Defense while completing training. Out-of-Pocket Expenses Participants are not expected to incur out-of-pocket costs for training materials, software access, mentorship, or instruction required to complete the program. Any standard travel requirements would be communicated in advance and handled in accordance with company and SkillBridge guidelines. Expected Outcome Upon completing the program, participants will be prepared to independently perform the essential responsibilities of an Assistant Project Manager, including project administration, document control, scheduling support, subcontractor coordination, compliance tracking, financial reporting support, and project closeout activities.

Job: Assistant Project Manager Assistant Project Manager works closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to manage the day to-day operations of construction projects, supporting all phases of project execution. Travel is required Essential Functions • Maintain, review, and track sub-contract documents, purchase orders, drawings, and submittals. • Use experience and judgment to price, approve, and/or reject project change orders and submittals; respond to RFIs. • Request and review insurance certificates from subcontractors for compliance with project requirements. • Create and update vendor and subcontractor contact logs. • Manage the building permit process and resolve any related issues. • Serve as a liaison with subcontractors to address disputes, questions, or performance concerns. • Assist in preparing project schedule narratives. • Document project progress through weekly videos and photos. • Schedule Subcontractor meetings. • Prepare descriptions for purchase orders and subcontractor requests. • Obtain and track subcontractor warranty certificates. • Assist in the creation of project close-out manuals. • Occasionally perform tasks outside the normal scope of duties. Description The Field Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) will assist in advancing a higher standard of health and safety throughout all assigned operations of Ameritech Contracting and ensure that no employee is exposed to unacceptable conditions. The SSHO will promote the site-specific Accident Prevention Plan (APP) and Corporate Safety Program throughout the project, conduct inspections, perform audits, conduct safety training, investigate accidents and incidents, and help advance the Safety Culture across the company.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESConduct frequent and regular safety inspections (daily) of the site and subcontractors’ operations. Conduct weekly formal documented inspections of the entire construction area with subcontractors’ “Trade Safety and Health CPs” present in their respective work areas. Coordinate with and report findings and corrective actions weekly to ACE Contracting Officer Representative. Be present on-site when excavation/trenching/shoring is active to monitor safety and ensure the excavation/permit is appropriately completed. Engage heavily with project managers, safety personnel, superintendents, foremen, craft workers, clients, and facility personnel. Audit project documentation for compliance with ACE EM 385, Site APP, and the Corporate Safety Program. Conduct Toolbox Talks and Safety Meetings. Perform site/client/hazard-specific safety training. Assist with the implementation of the Medical Surveillance programs.
