What these labels mean

MOU active: An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon: The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired: The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated: The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing: The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing: Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
Sparse listing: Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.

Summary

All About Dirt and Remodeling, Inc. provides a structured, hands-on construction training opportunity under the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program to support transitioning Service members during their final months of active duty. This program is designed to offer industry-relevant training that assists participants in gaining civilian employment skills while maintaining compliance with DoD SkillBridge requirements. SkillBridge participants will receive supervised, on-the-job training across residential and commercial construction projects. Training areas may include site preparation, demolition, framing, drywall installation, flooring, painting, basic electrical and plumbing support tasks, equipment operation, blueprint reading, material handling, and jobsite safety practices. Emphasis is placed on OSHA-aligned safety standards, teamwork, time management, and quality workmanship. The program focuses on translating military experience into civilian construction competencies while exposing participants to project workflows, scheduling, and basic construction management concepts. Participants will develop marketable skills intended to improve employability in the construction industry upon separation or retirement from military service. This SkillBridge opportunity does not guarantee employment; however, successful completion may enhance participants’ qualifications for future civilian construction roles.

Company All About Dirt and Remodeling, Inc.Program Overview The Construction Trainee position is a non-paid training role offered through the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program. This opportunity provides transitioning Service members with structured, hands-on training in residential and commercial construction during their approved SkillBridge participation period. The position is designed to develop industry-relevant skills that support post-service civilian employment. Duties and Training Areas Under the supervision of experienced construction professionals, the Construction Trainee will receive on-the-job training that may include: Assisting with site preparation, demolition, and jobsite cleanup Supporting framing, drywall installation, flooring, painting, and finishing work Performing basic electrical and plumbing support tasks (non-licensed, as permitted)Operating and maintaining hand tools and power tools in accordance with safety standards Assisting with equipment operation and material handling Reading and interpreting basic blueprints, plans, and work instructions Following OSHA-aligned safety practices and wearing required PPEParticipating in daily safety briefings and jobsite coordination meetings Supporting project workflow, scheduling, and quality control efforts Learning Objectives Participants will develop practical skills in construction operations, jobsite safety, teamwork, time management, and problem-solving. The program emphasizes translating military experience into civilian construction competencies and understanding industry expectations. Qualifications Active-duty Service member approved for participation in the DoD SkillBridge Program Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, standing, bending, and working outdoors Willingness to learn multiple construction trades and follow instructions Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to safety No prior construction experience required Program Details Training is conducted during the Service member’s approved SkillBridge timeframe Schedule and duration determined by the approved SkillBridge agreement This position is a training opportunity and does not guarantee employment upon completion Work Environment Training will take place on active residential and commercial construction sites and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, and physical labor consistent with construction industry standards.
