MOU status: DoD MOU current through December 11, 2027.

What these labels mean
MOU active
An MOU is the agreement between an employer and the SkillBridge program. When it expires, the employer has to renew it before it can take new service members.
MOU expires soon
The agreement ends within 90 days. That is not a reason to rule a program out. It is a reason to ask the employer where the renewal stands.
MOU expired
The date on the government listing has passed. We still show the program, because hiding it would shrink this directory in a way we could not explain. Confirm status with the employer before you apply.
MOU date not stated
The government listing carries no expiration date for this organization.
Detailed listing
The employer filled in most of its record: length, delivery method, eligibility, and a description of the work.
Partial listing
Some of those fields are filled in and some are blank.
Sparse listing
Very little of the record is filled in. That is common, and it is not a judgment about the program or the employer. It does mean you will have to ask them more questions directly.

Dates come from the government SkillBridge export. We do not screen, rank, or endorse organizations, and we take nothing from them.

HiredTroops is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the U.S. Department of Defense, the Department of War, or any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces. What the work involves

Education facilitators will present health promotion material to groups of activity duty military members, civilians, local nationals, contractors, and dependents in attendance at Health Promotion classes, unit briefs, UFPM/PTL training, HERC University, and First Term Enlisted Course. Facilitators should not create their own materials. Facilitators will receive the materials from a member of the Health Promotion Staff. Facilitators will not be expected to cover the entire session unless they ask to do so. They will work one on one with the Health Promotion Coordinator to review material, practice facilitation, and deliver the material. Health Promotion staff will contact volunteers monthly regarding volunteer opportunities and availability. Facilitators should have an interest in health and wellness, make healthy lifestyle choices, and serve as a role model for program participants. If participants ask a question that the facilitator is unable to answer, please refer the participant to a health promotion staff member or note the question and let them know a member of our team will get back to them with further information. Facilitators should be comfortable speaking in front of a group, speak clearly, project their voice, and utilize techniques for public speaking. Facilitators should practice and prepare, know your audience, watch for feedback and adapt to it, let your personality come through, use humor, tell stories, use effective language, don’t read unless you must, work from an outline, use your voice and hands effectively, omit nervous gestures, grab attention at the beginning, close with a dynamic end, and use audiovisual aids wisely. Practice does not make perfect. Good communication is never perfect, and we do not expect you to be perfect. Putting in the required time to prepare will help you deliver a better program. In Body Health Assessment Facilitators will take patients’ name, height, and age. They will inform patients, that for the most accurate results, they should fast for two hours prior to testing and refrain from exercising. They will instruct patients to remove shoes, socks, jewelry, and everything from their pockets. Additionally, they will ask patients to remove excess layers of clothing (i.e. Jackets, heavy belts). They will instruct patients to step on the device and ensure proper foot and hand placement. When the test is complete, they will instruct patients to step off the device and print their results. They will wipe down the In Body between uses, using approved wipes. They will review the results with the patient, highlighting the weight, muscle mass, fat mass, and percent body fat categories. They will point out lean analysis, fat analysis, basal metabolic rate (BMR), and calories needed for maintenance. If the patient is trying to lose weight, they can recommend the patient eat 250-500 calories lower than their maintenance (or slightly above their BMR). They will tell patients to never eat below their BMR and never be in a calorie deficit for longer than 12 weeks. They will recommend patients with further questions to attend a Best SELF class or to schedule a one-on-one wellness coaching session or medical nutrition therapy appointment with Health Promotion. If problems arise, they should speak with a member of the Health Promotion staff to address issues on the spot. Running Improvement Program Coaches are responsible for attending all practices throughout the eight-week season. Running coaches must be physically fit and able to run 1.5 miles. Running coaches must have a positive attitude and serve as a role model for participants. Running improvement coaches must follow the curriculum. Coaches begin each season with a baseline assessment of the 1.5-mile run. Coaches report baseline numbers to health promotion staff. Coaches will be assigned groups of runners based on skill level. Coaches should arrive at least 5 minutes prior to the start of the workout. Coaches should try to learn the names of the members in their group. Coaches must take attendance at the beginning of each workout and report attendance to Health Promotion Staff weekly. Coaches begin each workout by leading a dynamic warm up and drills. Coaches will then appoint a running lead and trail lead. Then they will discuss the route, distance, and speed for the run of the day with their group. Next the coaches will run with members. Following the run, coaches will lead members through a core workout and cool down. Coaches will encourage members with injuries to scale back on their training and seek medical attention from their PCM or physical therapist. Coaches should not allow injured runners to continue training. If issues arise with participants, please contact health promotion staff to help troubleshoot. During the last workout of the season, coaches will reassess runners on the 1.5 mile run and report times to Health Promotion Staff. Failure to follow these rules will result in volunteered coaches being removed from the program. If something comes up and you are no longer able to fulfill your intern duties, notify a member of the health promotion staff as soon as possible, but at least 24 hours in advance.
