You will never pay HiredTroops anything. Not a fee, not a subscription, not a percentage of what you go on to earn.

The rule, not just our policy

This is also how the program is written. The DoD SkillBridge Memorandum of Understanding, section 4.2.9, requires that participation come at no cost to the service member. We hold ourselves to that same line across everything we build, including the parts of this site that sit outside a SkillBridge program.

Who pays for this

The employer side funds the site. Companies that want to reach transitioning service members pay us for placement listings and for help running their own programs. That is the whole business model.

We do not take a cut of your hire. If a company brings you on, your salary, your signing terms, and your negotiating position are yours. Nothing is routed back to us out of your compensation, and no offer to you is conditioned on a payment from you.

What that means in practice

• No paywall on program listings or program guidance.
• No charge for a resume, a review, or a rewrite.
• No upsell to a paid tier. There is not one.
• No selling your personal information to recruiters or lead brokers.
